Virginia Gay Hospital Home Health Agency is Medicare Certified and provides 24 hours, seven day a week skilled nursing availability.

 

 

Community Health Services

• Maternal Health Visits
• Blood Pressure Clinics
• Immunizations Clinics
• Available for Group Teachings
• Public Speaking to Service Organizations

Registered Nurse Services available as ordered by your physician.

• Skilled Observation, including vital signs, weight measurement, lung assessment, response to new medications
• Dressing changes/wound care
• Administration of injections
• Coordination of home care aides
• Instruction for diabetic care
• Foley catheter insertions and follow-up care
• Instructions on medications and use of mediplanner
• Ostomy care and instruction for follow-up

Home Care Aide Services:
In home assistance for elderly , homebound and/or disabled person

Certified Home Care Aides

• Personal Care including bathing, shampoo and skin care
• Range of motion exercises
• Assistance with ambulation
• Light Housekeeping
• Laundry
• Essential shopping
• Meal planning and food preparations
• Assistance with budgeting
• Medicare, Medicaid and third party insurance accepted
• Slide fee scale available if service requested is not covered by insurance
